Smoothy is built around the concept of teams. Within a team, one or more people work together and share a single Smoothy subscription. This allows you to use Smoothy in different contexts with the same account. You can, for example, have a team together with your colleagues for your work and have another team for your personal projects.
On the account page of Smoothy, you get an overview of all the teams that you have access to. This list contains the teams that you created yourself, as well as the teams that you were invited to. If you only just created your account, you may not see any teams yet.
In order to create a new team, head over to the team's overview on your account page and click Create team in the right upper corner of the table. Next, a form will appear, as shown in the screenshot below. In this form, you are asked to specify a name for your team, select your preferred subscription plan, and decide how often you want to be billed by Smoothy.
If you are not sure which plan to choose, we recommend you to start out with a small plan. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any moment in time.
As for the billing cycle, you can choose between being billed on a monthly basis or a yearly basis. If you decide to choose for the yearly cycle, and hence pay for a year in advance, you get 12 months of Smoothy for the price of 10 months. That's a 17% discount! 💰
Trying out Smoothy is free for 14 days. During this period, you can try out all the features of Smoothy, check if our cloud platform brings value to your business, and if not cancel your subscription. However, if you do like Smoothy and decide to continue using it, you are awesome 😎, but other than that, your subscription automatically commences and you receive your first invoice right after your 14-day trial ends.
In the next step, you are asked to provide the details of your credit card that Smoothy may charge after your trial period has ended.
To guarantee your safety this information is not handled nor stored by Smoothy itself but by our payment provider Stripe.
In the subsequent steps you are asked to provide some more information about your company, what information we should include on our invoices, and to which email address we should send the invoices.
We know, we ask a lot and would rather not do this, but unfortunately, according to the Belgian regulations we are legally required to do so.
Last but not least, if you are one of the lucky ones that are in possession of a valid coupon, you can provide it here. The value of the coupon will then be settled on your first invoice.
Once you finish the entire creation process successfully, you should see your new team show up in the teams overview on your account page.
